1. Basic concepts

Kyoritsu Women's Educational Institution collects personal information from visitors to our website (the pages at addresses beginning with “http://www.kyoritsu-wu.ac.jp/”; hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) to the extent necessary to facilitate the services offered by the Website (providing information and responding to opinions and inquiries) in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Policy of Kyoritsu Women's Educational Institution and the following policy. The collected information is managed appropriately within the purpose of use.

2. Range of collected information

(1) Information voluntarily supplied by visitors to the Website shall include the name, address, and phone number when submitting opinions, suggestions, or inquiries to the Institution. The e-mail addresses of visitors are also collected in the case of inquiries via the Internet or e-mail.

(2) The Website automatically collects visitor access information, including the Internet domain name, IP address, and browsing history. For that purpose, cookies (a data file transferred from the server to the user's Internet browser and stored on the user's computer so that the server can identify each user) and embedded JavaScript codes are used on the Website.

3. Purpose of use

(1) The opinions and other submissions collected in 2 (1) above will be used for guidance as to the future business operations of the Institution. The name, e-mail address, address, and phone number of visitors are used to reply or respond to inquiries. The collected information may be transferred to the relevant departments of the Institution depending on the nature of the opinions and inquiries.

(2) The information collected in 2 (2) above will be used for maintenance and analysis of the Website. The analysis of the Website may be outsourced to operators that have concluded a confidentiality agreement with the Institution regarding personal information.

4. Limitation of use and provision of personal information

The personal information collected on the Website will be used and provided only to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use described in 3 above. However, personal information may be provided to third parties not affiliated with Kyoritsu Women's Educational Institution in the event of any of the following: (i) information disclosure is requested pursuant to relevant laws or regulations; (ii) unlawful acts, such as illegal access and extortion; (iii) other special reasons; or (iv) the visitor to the Website has given prior consent. In addition, statistically processed information, such as information regarding access to the Website and user status, may be made public.

The Institution will implement security measures to prevent illegal access to the personal information collected on the Website to avoid the loss, destruction, falsification, and leakage of personal information, and otherwise to properly manage the collected personal information.

The privacy policy is applicable to the Website only.

The Institution may modify or revise the above policy regarding the handling of personal information collected on the Website when and as necessary.

The Institution does not assume any liability as to any problems caused by posting links to the Website. Furthermore, the Institution does not allow any link settings where any page of the Website is framed within another website.
