Interdepartmental Liberal Studies

Interdepartmental Liberal Studies

Our liberal studies subjects are taught alongside the specialist subjects, and aim to provide the knowledge and skills that all Kyoritsu students will need as independent women.

Instead of the traditional academic classification into natural sciences, humanities and social studies, the main characteristic of liberal studies is their division into “basic skills units” and “liberal studies units.”

To correspond flexibly to the diverse interests, motivations and learning objectives of our students, and to increase their usefulness, most liberal studies subjects are taught as one-semester courses, and can be taken at any time.
